Shady Spring – Jayden Miller found the end zone three times – twice on the ground and once through the air – as James Monroe rolled to a 26-7 victory over Shady Spring at Shady Spring.
Miller picked up 78 yards on the ground and 22 through the air while Brock Parker rushed for 88 yards and caught a 31-yard pass.
Shady Spring’s lone score came via a 60-yard interception return touchdown in the fourth quarter.
James Monroe (2-0) will host Bluefield (1-1) next week.
