Bluefield – Summers County opened its season with a 3-1 win Monday, toppling Bluefield in Bluefield.
The Lady Bobcats dropped the opening set 25-21 before rallying for wins of 25-17, 25-15 and 25-13.
Lilly Elkins, Ali Persinger and Emma Angell netted five aces each while Saigan Simms collected four. Aubrey Adkins collected seven kills followed by six from Carly Persinger.
Angell finished with 14 assists while Adkins collected 12.
