Lindside – James Monroe swept regional foe Independence Thursday night in Lindside.
The Mavericks won their three sets 25-7, 25-19 and 25-14.
The victory was an extension of a dominant weekend and week for the Lady Mavericks who went 14-0 at the Coalfield Conference tournament on Saturday, sweeping Westside, Wyoming East, Midland Trail, Liberty and Summers County in pool play before besting Trail and Liberty in single elimination.
They followed up with a 3-0 win over Princeton on Tuesday, celebrating career milestones for Sadie Mann (1,000th serve reception), Ava Pitzer (1,200th serve reception) and the 408th career victory for head coach Julie Bradley.
