Bluefield – Wyoming East pulled off a remarkable rally Thursday, crawling back from a 9-1 deficit to topple Bluefield 12-11 in Bluefield.
Kaydee Shrewsbury and Mak Hatfield led the charge for East with two hits and RBI each in the win. Carlie Raye picked top the win with 11 strikeouts, yielding 11 runs but only two were earned with her defense committing 10 errors behind her.
Taylor Mabry led Bluefield with a double and a triple while Jaleigh Smith collected three hits.
Princeton 8, Mount View 3
Welch – Hayden Jones fanned 16 batters Thursday, firing a one-hitter as Princeton marched into Welch and secured an 8-3 win over Mount View.
Jones didn’t allow a single earned run in the win, helping her cause with a hit and an RBI at the plate.
Abby Farley led Princeton with two hits and RBI at the dish.
Phoebe Dudgeon, who struck out 14 for Mount View, secured the Golden Knights’ lone hit of the contest

Shady Spring 11, Amhearst 1
Myrtle Beach – Shady Spring’s defense struggled Thursday, committing nine errors in an 11-1 loss to Amhearst Thursday in Myrtle Beach.
Of the 11 runs allowed, only two were earned.
Jenna Joyce led Shady at the dish with two hits while Peyton Raban and Alexa Quesenberry secured one each.
Independence 13, Letcher County Central 6
Myrtle Beach – Independence jumped out to a 5-0 lead and made it stick, securing a 13-6 win over Letcher County Central Thursday in Myrtle Beach.
Paytin Brehm picked up the win, striking out eight and allowing three earned runs in the circle.
At the plate Ava Parks stayed hot, scorching four hits and driving in two runs, joining Emma Lilly, Emma Simpson and Kassidy Bradbury in the two-RBI department.
