Mount View 16, Montcalm 2
Welch – Mount View needed just three hits to score 16 runs Monday, earning a 16-2 victory over Montcalm in Welch.
The Golden Knights took advantage of 14 walks in the win despite striking out 10 times.
Mount View’s Phoebe Dudgeon secured the win for the Golden Knights, striking out 14 in five innings of work.
Midland Trail 8, Greenbrier West 6
Crawley – Despite an array of errors on both sides, Midland Trail hung on Monday night to earn an 8-6 victory over Greenbrier West in Crawley.
Both teams struggled in the field, committing six errors each in the game.
Nevaeh Hall led Trail in the win with four hits and an RBI while Madison Rader fanned nine in a complete game effort.
Preslee Treadway led West with two hits and an RBI in the loss while Brilee Redden fanned nine and surrendered just three earned runs in the loss.
Princeton 6, James Monore 3
Princeton – Princeton’s quick start propelled it Monday as the Tigers scored three runs in the first inning of a 6-3 victory over James Monroe in Princeton.
Zoey Agnew hit a home run and drove in two runs for the Tigers while Lashia Richardson collected two hits and RBIs.
Hayden Jones picked up the win in the circle with 11 strikeouts and no earned runs.
Bryleigh Thomas and Peighton Griffith led James Monroe with two hits each.
Riverside 3, Beckley 0
Beckley – Aubrey Smallwood came up on the losing end of a tough decision Monday as Beckley dropped a 3-0 decision at home against Riverside.
Smallwood, who didn’t allow an earned run, struck out 10 in the loss.
She was also the only Flying Eagles to secure a hit.
Shaylea Blackhurst picked up the win with 10 strikeouts for the Warriors.
