Lindside – Greenbrier West’s bats remained hot Thursday as the Cavaliers crushed 11 hits in a 12-4 win over James Monroe in Lindside.
Maddie Fields was perfect at the plate, notching three hits, including a home run, and driving in three runs.
Brilee Redden added a pair of hits including a home run while Brooke Adkins and Kyndall Taylor notched a pair of base hits.
Bryleigh Thomas led James Monroe with a home run and two hits while Peighton Griffith added a home run as well.
Beckley 13, Oak Hill 4
Beckley – Beckley’s offense rolled early as the Flying Eagles jumped out to a an 11-2 lead after two innings, toppling Oak Hill 13-4 in Beckley Thursday.
Shailee Sexton led the onslaught with three hits and two RBI while Aubrey Smallwood notched two hits and three RBI.
Smallwood excelled in the circle as well, fanning 10 and allowing just one earned run.
Amy Hollandsworth drove in a pair of runs while KK Smith collected two hits.
Chapmanville 9, Wyoming East 1
Chapmanville – Wyoming East struggled early and late, yielding four runs each in the first and fifth innings of a 9-1 loss at Chapmanville Thursday.
Chloe Murphy led the Tigers with three hits in the win.
Carlee Rollins, Victoria Smith and Kendra Cook collected hits for East in the loss.
Liberty 16, Summers County 0
Hinton – Liberty made quick work of Summers County Friday, pouncing on the Bobcats 16-0 in Hinton.
McKinlea Hill led the charge for the Raiders with three hits, driving in a pair of runs.
Alyssa Scarbro, Maddie Cox and Stella Brown notched two hits each in the win while Katie Mullens drove in a pair of runs.
