Charleston – Beckley’s offense broke through in the ninth inning Friday as the Flying Eagles secured a 6-4 win over PikeView at Go-Mart Park in Charleston.
Tied at three runs each, Beckley doubled its output in the ninth inning with three more runs to secure the victory.
Aubrey Smallwood led the charge with two hits and an RBI, striking out 15 in seven innings while Karlie Fraley drove in a pair of runs on two hits.
Oak Hill 7, Nitro 2
Charleston – Oak Hill’s bats came alive in the second inning, carrying the Red Devils to a 7-2 win over Nitro Friday at Go-Mart Park in Charleston.
Peyten Farrell notched three hits to lead the Red Devils while Sadie Branch added two more and an RBI.
KK Smith led Oak Hill in the circle, striking out five in a complete-game effort.
Midland Trail 19, Richwood 8
Richwood – Midland Trail blew a competitive game open in the fifth and final inning, scoring nine runs in a 19-8 rout of Richwood.
Jessi Mooney continued her torrid start with two hits and an RBI while Jaycie Stonestreet drove in a trio of runs.
Madison Rader fanned five in two inning of shutout work for the Patriots.
Independence 12, James Monroe 4
Coal City – Independence scored in every inning Friday securing a 12-4 win over James Monroe in Coal City.
Ava Parks paced the Patriot offense going 4-for-4 with four RBI in the win while Kassidy Bradbury collected two hits.
Peyton Street led the Mavericks with two RBI in the loss.
