Beckley 8, James Monroe 6 (Extra Innings)
Lindside – Beckley crawled out of a 5-1 deficit Wednesday, toppling James Monroe 8-6 in extra innings in Lindside.
Thirteen combined errors in the game helped and hurt both teams.
Mia Seiter led Beckley with two hits and three RBI while Aubrey Smallwood led Beckley with four innings of shutdown ball, striking out nine batters.
Bryleigh Thomas took the loss for James Monroe, yielding just three earned runs.
Greenbrier West 17, Princeton 5
Princeton – Greenbrier West pounded out 13 hits Wednesday night, securing a 17-5 win over Princeton in Princeton.
Brooke Patterson easily a perfect 4-for-4 while Maddie Fields and Brooklyn Adkins drove in three runs each.
Ava Price led West with four RBI and a home run while Brilee Redden also smacked a round-tripper.
Zoey Agnew led Princeton with three hits in the loss.
Independence 16, PikeView 1; Independence 11, PikeView 2
Coal City – Independence picked up a pair of wins Wednesday, sweeping PikeView 16-1 and 11-2 in Coal City.
In the first game Fallyn Rakes led the way with three RBI on two hits while Kenzie Pierce struck out five in tow innings.
In the second game Emma Lilly led the charge with two hits while seven total Patriots registered a base knock. Paytin Brehm picked up the win in the second game, striking out 10.
Lauren Lambert led PikeView with two hist and an RBI on the day.
