
Princeton – Princeton’s bats scorched from the start Friday as the Tigers ripped 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning en route to a 17-4 win over Graham at Princeton.
The 10 runs came in response to a three-run inning for Graham in the top of the first.
Hayden Jones led the way again, driving in four runs with three hits while picking up the win in the circle.
Shaylee Cook added three hits while Bailey Brewster was good for four RBI.
Beckley 10, Wyoming East 8
Beckley – Beckley won a slugfest Friday, rallying from a 7-1 deficit to secure a 10-8 win over Wyoming East in Beckley.
Mia Seiter and Rose Tucker led Beckley with two hits each with Tucker driving in a pair of runs.
Victoria Smith and Kaydee Shrewsbury led Wyoming East with two hits in the loss.
Keyser 11, Greenbrier West 3; Philip Barbour 9, Greenbrier West 6
Moorefield – Greenbrier West dropped a pair of games in Moorefield Friday, falling to Class AAA foes Keyser 11-3 and Philip Barbour 9-6.
Despite the losses Maddie Fields excelled at the plate, collecting five total hits including a pair of home runs, driving in six total runs.
Errors proved harmful to the Cavs who committed nine on the day with the six against Philip Barbour leading to six unearned runs.
Despite the loss, West pitcher Brilee Redden fanned 12 Philip Barbour batters, yielding just three earned runs.
Sherman 3, Midland Trail 2
Sherman – Midland Trail had five runners cut down at the plate Friday, dropping a 3-2, nine-inning decision at Sherman.
The loss came despite Trail outhitting Sherman 13-5 and getting a quality start from pitcher Madison Rader who didn’t allow a single earned run in 9.2 innings pitched.
Rader and Nevaeh Hall collected three hits each for Trail while Jessi Mooney drove in both Trail runs in the seventh inning.
