Hinton – Independence closed out the regular season Friday with a 56-6 win over Summers County in Hinton.
The game was called at halftime due to an injury to a Summers County player.
Independence QB Brock Green completed 10 of 11 passes for 297 yards and five touchdowns, connecting with Christian Linksweiler five times for 189 yards and four touchdowns.
Paxton Meyers followed up his 200-yard outing from a week ago with 101 yards rushing and a touchdown on five carries.
Independence will open the postseason as the No. 4 seed in Class AA and will host a team the be named on Saturday.
