Marietta, Oh. – Independence sophomore Brock Green carved Barnesville’s secondary Friday night, throwing for a program record 403 yards in a 42-21 win at Marietta College Friday night.
Green completed 25-of-34 passes for 403 yards and four touchdowns, adding 48 yards rushing and a touchdown on the ground.
Sylas Nelson rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown while Christian Linksweiler caught 13 passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns, adding na interception on defense as well.
K.J. Viars and Kaden Bradbury caught a touchdown each in the win.
Independence moves to 7-0 on the season and will travel to Princeton in a matchup of undefeated teams next week.
