New Richmond – Round 1 for Region 3 supremacy goes to Wyoming East.
The No. 2-ranked Warriors survived a seesaw affair with No. 4 Bluefield, earning a 62-56 win over the Beavers in New Richmond Tuesday.
Keegan Davidson led East with 26 points, 13 of which came in the third quarter. Bluefield all-stater Jase Smith nearly matched him, leading the Beavers with 24 points.
Broc Johnson (15) and Braxton Morgan (12) joined Davidson in double figures for East while Ricky Dunford (10) and Davion Hickman (10) posted double figures to supplement Smith.
