Bridgeport 70, Wyoming East 44
White Sulphur Springs – Wyoming East couldn’t overcome a sharpshooting performance Friday afternoon, falling 70-44 to Class AAA No. 2 Bridgeport in the Battle for the Springhouse at The Greenbrier.
The Indians, who will face James Monroe in the championship Saturday, shot 58 percent from the field, hitting eight 3-pointers in the win. Sam Romano led the way with 17 points while Gavin Williams (15) and Anderson McDougal (11) joined him in double figures.
Broc Johnson was the only Warrior to reach double figures, leading the way with 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting.

James Monroe 70, Greenbrier East 67 (OT)
White Sulphur Springs – Ryan Mann led James Monroe Friday evening as James Monroe edged Greenbrier East 70-67 in the Battle for the Springhouse at The Greenbrier.
James Monroe advances to Saturday’s title game where it will face Bridgeport. Greenbrier East Weill face Wyoming East.
Mann scored late to tie the game in regulation and nailed the decisive layup, part of a three-point play, with just under six seconds to go in overtime. He finished with a game-high 24 points on 11-of-18 shooting.
The victory came after the Mavericks trailed by double digits with nine minutes to play.
Kadyn Hines flanked Mann with 19 points before fouling out while Jayden Miller netted 12.
Leading East in scoring were Nate Dixon and Braylen Godfrey with 15 points each while Brody Hamric scored 14 points.
