Coal City – After dropping a thriller to Westside earlier in the week, Independence rebounded Friday, toppling Class A No. 1 Tug Valley 67-64 in Coal City.
Ashton Arthur led the Patriots with 29 points on 11 of 15 shooting while Sylas Nelson pitched in 21 points on 8 of 16 shooting.
Brock Green scored 11 points and added 10 rebounds in the win.
