Beckley – Oak Hill turned the ball over 20 times against Princeton but the offensive struggles stopped there.
The Red Devils assisted on 20 of their 24 made field goal, connecting on 57 percent of their shots in a 69-59 victory over the Tigers Tuesday in the Little General Battle for the Armory in Beckley.
Brent Conley converted on 9 of 11 field goals attempts for a game-high 22 points in the win while Ivan Perdue was a perfect 7-for-7 for 16 points.
“The strength is within the pack. It’s not within any one individual,” Oak Hill head coach Andy Kees said. “A big common denominator early in our season is that we share the ball nicely. We don’t have any selfishness on our team and we find the open guy.”
Princeton, which shot just 35 percent from the floor on the afternoon, was led by Chance Barker who scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds on 9 of 20 shooting. Jayce Gum added 18 points in the loss.
