
Shady Spring 25, Midland Trail 1
Hico – Shady Spring’s bats remained hot Friday as the Tigers toppled Midland Trail 25-1 in Fayette County.
The explosion was highlighted by a 13-run third inning.
Shady took advantage of free base runners, drawing 12 walks in the win.
Brody Seabolt led the charge with three hits and four RBI while Colyn Smith added a trio of hits.
Jalon Bailey, Aiden Calvert, Sam Barnett and Jacob Claypool were amongst the other players to notch multiple hits for Shady.
Greg Cramer had Midland Trail’s lone hit.
South Charleston 15, Independence 8
South Charleston was unstoppable at the plate Friday, notching 14 hits and drawing 11 walks in a 15-8 win at Independence.
The Patriots answered the bell initially with three runs in the bottom of the first but yielded the next six in the loss.
Levi Barnett led Indy with three hits while Degan Williams and Cole Cunningham notched two each.
Wyoming East 8, Oak Hill 5
New Richmond – Wyoming East rallied late, scoring six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to secure an 8-5 win over Oak Hill in New Richmond Friday.
Talan Muscari, batting ninth, led East with three hits, driving in a trio of runs.
Jaeden Lester secured the win on the bump, striking out 13 and allowing just three earned runs.
Will McGraw, Owen Grose and Carter Reid notched two hits each for Oak Hill.
James Monroe 7, Liberty 6
Lindisde – James Monroe rallied for a pair of runs in the seventh inning to claim a 7-6 win over Liberty in Lindside.
Brycen Parker’s single tied the game at 6-6 and Dylan Anthony, who was courtesy running for Parker, secured the win scoring on a passed ball.
Parker finished with a pair of hits and two RBI while Peyton Gardinier notched three hits and three RBI.
Bodie Zickefoose earned the win, throwing two scoreless innings in relief.
Brayden Keith led Liberty with three hits while Chase Shea homered in the loss. Cameron Acord led Liberty with three RBI.
Beckley 14, Margaretta 6
Beckley – Beckley’s bats struck early as the Flying Eagles scored the first six runs of a 14-6 victory over Margaretta, Oh. Friday in Beckley.
Drew Gallaher went 3-for-5 to lead the charge, adding a trio of RBI.
Maddex Sims drove in four runs and Gage Price batted in three.
Price picked up the win, pitching three innings in relief after Margaretta knotted the game at 6-6 in the fourth inning.
