New Richmond – Jarred Phillips mowed through Westside’s lineup Thursday as Wyoming East secured a 13-0 win over the Renegades in New Richmond.
Phillips went all five inning, fanning four and allowing juts one hit.
Miken Smyth backed his effort at the plate with a trio of hits including a double and two RBI. Zach Hunt, Gaige Cooper and Phillips all drove in a pair of runs each.
Noah Akers had Westside’s lone hit in the loss.
PikeView 7, Nicholas County 0
Summersville – Landon Bolen rolled Thursday as PikeView secured a season sweep of Nicholas County with a 7-0 win in Summersville.
Bolen went the distance, allowing just one hit in the victory for the Panthers.
Trenton Tolliver and Christian Walters backed his effort with a pair of hits with Tolliver and Landon Wyatt driving in a pair of runs each.
Cain Ferrell had Nicholas County’s lone hit of the night.
George Washington 7, Beckley 0
Beckley – Beckley was held to just one hit Thursday, dropping a 7-0 decision against top-ranked George Washington in Beckley.
Maddex Sims secure Beckley’s lone hit in the loss.
Luke Gordon secured the win for GW with nine strikeouts in a complete-game effort
Independence 18, Princeton 3
Coal City – Independence scalded the ball Thursday, collecting 13 hits in an 18-3 win over Princeton in Coal City.
Reid Warden led the assault with three hits and two RBI while Cole Cunningham doubled twice and drove in three runs.
Levi Barnett and Degan Williams added two hits each as well.
Cunningham earned the win allowing two earned runs.
Landon Crane led Princeton with two hits.
