Gardner – Less than 24 hours after tossing a no-hitter and hitting a home run Landon Wyatt was at it again.
Wyatt went 2-for-2 at the plate, drawing a pair of walks, hitting another home run and driving in six runs in a 12-0 PikeView win over Castlewood, Va. Saturday afternoon in Gardner.
Landen Bolen picked up the win for the Panthers on the mound, scattering three hits over 4.2 innings of work.
Trenton Tolliver, Eli Naylor and Eli Hilling all added an RBI each in the win.
James Monroe 3, Westside 0
Lindside – Kadyn Hines fanned 19 batters Saturday, tossing a complete-game no-hitter as James Monroe secured a 3-0 win over Westside Saturday in Lindside.
The only blemish on Hines’ day was an error committed on defense, preventing a perfect game.
Carson Koen led the Mavericks at the plate, collecting a pair of hits and driving in a run.
Brock Parker also added a pair of hits in the win.
Beckley 7, Shady Spring 4
Shady Spring – Beckley jumped Shady early, leading 5-0 after two innings of an eventual 7-4 win over the Tigers Saturday in Shady.
Austin Long led the Flying Eagles at the plate with two hits while Maddex Sims struck out 10 batters in 4.1 innings of work.
Aiden Calvert led Shady with two hits and an RBI in the loss.
Summers County 11, Braxton County 1
Summers County 10, Braxton County 6
Sutton – Summers County secured a pair of wins Saturday, toppling Braxton County 11-1 and 10-6 in Sutton.
In the 11-1 win Grady Allen led the charge notching three hits while Ryan Oliveros, Colten Jones and Jake Boone collected two RBI each.
In the 10-6 win Cody Snavely collected three hits at the top of the lineup while Braiden Cozart and Robey Brown collected two each.
