Shady Spring – Shady Spring held off a late charge, toppling Nicholas County 9-8 Tuesday in a continuation of a game started on Friday in Shady Spring.
Sam Barnett paced Shady with three hits while Brody Seabolt drove in a trio of runs. Noah Fox added a pair of doubles for the Tigers.
Coleton Hellems led the Grizzlies with three RBI and a pair of hits while Colton Burkhammer and Caleb Burns notced two hits each as well.
Midland Trail 7, Richwood 6
Hico – Midland Trail rallied Tuesday, securing a 7-6 walk-off win over Richwood in Fayette County.
Greg Cramer led Trail with three hits in the win while Preston Eades drove in two runs, stole home for the winning run and fanned 10 on the mound.
Jayden Hamon and Parker Giles had two hits each for Richwood.
James Monroe 7, Wyoming East 3
Lindside – James Monroe rallied in the fifth and sixth innings, securing a key regional victory over Wyoming East by a score of 7-3 in Gardner.
Kadyn Hines was excellent on the mound Tuesday, striking out 15 and allowing just one hit against the Warriors.
At the plate Peyton Gardinier backed his effort with a 4-for-4 showing, driving in two runs. Cameron Crislip and Brycen Parker also drove in two runs each.
Gaige Cooper had East’s only hit and Jaeden Lester took the loss for East despite not allowing a single earned run.
