St. Albans – Beckley struggled after a solid start, falling 10-1 at St. Albans Wednesday.
The Flying Eagles managed to strike first, scoring a run in the top of the first inning but that was the lone bright spot of the night.
Brady Williams had Beckley’s only hit of the night in the loss.
Nicholas County 10, Oak Hill 9
Summersville – Ira Mylott crushed the ball Wednesday helping Nicholas County to a 10-9 victory over Oak Hill in nine innings in Summersville.
Mylott went 4-for-5 at the plate, nothing a home run and a double while driving in four runs.
Caleb Jarvis added a trio of RBI while Caleb Burns added three hits.
Hunter Elswick led the Red Devils with two hits in the loss.
Collins 14, Independence 0
Independence bats never could get going, falling to Collins 14-0 on Wednesday.
Degan Williams had the Patriots’ only hit of the day.
Indy fell behind early, yielding six runs in the first inning of the tough loss.
PikeView 11, Summers County 1
Gardner – PikeView scored early and often Wednesday, securing an 11-1 win over Summers County in Gardner.
The Panthers scored four runs to open the game and hardly slowed down, scoring multiple runs in every inning except the second.
Christian Walters led the charge with three hits while Drew Damewood, Landon Wyatt and Braden Huggins all drove in two runs each.
Cody Snavely led Summers with two hits on the loss.
James Monroe 22, Bluefield 4
Lindside – James Monroe trailed 1-0 before putting a 16-spot in the second inning of a 22-4 win over Bluefield Wednesday in Lindside.
Jordan Baker drove in four runs for the Mavericks while Peyton Gardinier was good for three RBI.
Bluefield, which was limited to just one hit and committed eight errors, was led by Nate Redmond who drove in two runs.
