Summersville – Nicholas County pounded out 13 hits and no-hit Greenbrier West in a 10-0 win over the Cavs in Summersville Tuesday.
Caleb Burns was outstanding again, pitching four innings of the no-hitter and notching three hits at the plate.
Caleb Jarvis, Lucas Milam and Colton Burkhammer notched a pair of hits each as well in the win.
Sissonville 12, Independence 5
Coal City – Independence dropped a 10-inning thriller Tuesday, falling 12-5 against Sissonville in Coal City.
The Indians secured the win with a seven-run 10th inning.
Levi Barnett, Cole Cunningham and Micah Cuthbert notched two hist each for Indy in the loss
Wyoming East 6, Oak Hill 3
Oak Hill – Wyoming East exploded late, crawling back from a 3-0 deficit to secure a 6-3 win over Oak Hill in Oak Hill Tuesday,
The Warriors scored five of their six runs in the sixth inning and were led at the plate by Zach Hunt who drove in a pair of runs and notched a double.
Jarred Phillips went the distance for the Warriors, allowing just two earned runs.
Owen Grose led Oak Hill with two hits.
Summers County 9, James Monroe 5
Lindside – Summers County did all of its damage in one inning, scoring nine runs in the fifth to secure a 9-5 win over James Monroe in Lindside.
Cody Snavely led Summers with a pair of hits driving in two runs while Robey Brown added two RBI as well.
Peyton Gardinier and Levi Taylor had two hits each for James Monroe in the loss.
Liberty 7, Midland Trail 0
Liberty 2, Midland Trail 1
Glen Daniel – Liberty swept Midland Trail Tuesday, securing doubleheader wins of 2-1 and 7-0 in Glen Daniel.
Chase Shea and Jayden Acord combined to twirl the 2-1 victory with Brayden Keith and Shea driving in a run each.
In the 7-0 win Parker Hodges went six innings, allowing just there hits, backing his own effort with three hits at the plate. Logan Ellis added three hits and three RBI as well.
Jamison Swafford had the best day of any Patriots, holding Liberty to three hits in the 2-1 loss and driving in Trail’s lone run of that game.
Beckley 4, Riverside 0
Beckley – Beckley set the tone early, scoring three runs in the first two innings to secure a 4-0 win over Riverside Tuesday in Beckley.
Will Farrish, Tyler Wilhite and Brady Williams drove in a run each to back the win.
Wilhite also earned the win on the mound, fanning 10 and scattering six hits in the victory.
