Hico – Nicholas County’s offense scorched Midland Trail Wednesday as the Grizzlies secured a 25-4 win over the Patriots in Summersville.
The Grizzlies had 22 players bat in the win with Caleb Jarvis and Colton Burkhammer driving in three runs each.
Trail produced just one hit, courtesy of Greg Cramer, in the loss.
Shady Spring 9, Liberty 1
Glen Daniel – Shady Spring capitalized on six Liberty errors Wednesday to secure a 9-1 win over the Raiders in Glen Daniel.
The Tigers produced nine hits to back their effort, with Jacob Clayppol producing three of them with a trio of RBI. Noah Fox added two hits as well while Kayden Quesenberry picked up the win.
Chase Shea led Liberty with a hit and an RBI in the loss.
PikeView 11, Bluefield 1
Gardner – Trenton Tolliver no-hit Bluefield Wednesday night, helping PikeView to an 11-1 win over the Beavers in Gardner.
Tolliver helped his own cause with a 4-for-4 showing at the plate, driving in a pair of runs.
Landon Wyatt and Drew Damewood also finished with multiple hits, two each, while Eli Naylor and Eli Hilling collected two RBI each.
Beckley 6, Greenbrier East 5
Fairlea – Preston West’s pinch-hit RBI single in the top of the eight inning lifted Beckley to a 6-5 win over rival Greenbrier East Wednesday in Fairlea.
Tyler Wilhite led the charge at the plate with three hits while Maddex Sims reached four times on a trio of walks and a hit.
Layne Lambert led Greenbrier East with two hits and an RBI in the loss.
Brady Williams, who allowed one run in four innings of work, secured the victory.
