Hinton – Liberty pounded out 12 hits Friday, securing a 12-2 win over regional foe Summers County in Hinton.
Jayden Acord and Isaac Williams led the charge with three hits each while Chase Shea and Acord drove in a trio of runs. Parker Hodges picked up the win with a six-strikeout effort.
Jake Boone led Summers with two hits in the loss.
Alleghany, Va. 21, Richwood 4
Richwood – Alleghany pounced from the jump, toppling Richwood 21-4 Friday in Richwood.
Cameron Jenkins paced Richwood with three hits while Jaden Jantuah drove in two runs.
Independence 8, Sissonville 6
Sissonville – Independence posted a massive win Friday, toppling regional foe Sissonville 8-6 in Sissonville.
Four different Patriots – Levi Barnett, Degan Williams, Cole Cunningham and Justin Williams – posted two hits each with Barnett’s three RBI leading the way. Cunningham and Williams knocked in a pair of runs each as well.
Chance Moore earned the win, allowing just three earned runs.
