Shady Spring strung together six hits Friday but couldn’t push a run across in a 7-0 loss to West out of Tennessee.
Six different Tigers notched hits in the loss with Colyn Smith reaching on a base hit and a walk.
Hamilton Southeastern, In. 10, Independence 9
Independence’s rally came up short Friday as the Patriots fell 10-9 to Hamilton Southeastern out of Indiana.
Trailing 7-2, the Patriots erupted for eight runs in the fourth inning but yielded three in the bottom of the frame to decide the contest.
Degan Williams led Indy with two hits and two RBI while Cole Cunningham added a pair of hits as well.
Chance Moore drove in two runs in the loss.
