Beckley 6, James Monroe 1
Beckley – Beckley scattered 10 hits, erupting for four runs late to earn a 6-1 win over James Monroe Monday night at Linda K. Epling Stadium in Beckley.
Maddex Sims, Brady Williams, Parker Williams and Will Farrish collected two hits each in the win with Brady Williams and Farrish driving in a run each.
Brady Williams also picked up the win with 13 strikeouts in five innings.
Wyoming East 8, Mingo Central 2
New Richmond – Jayden Lester notched three hits and drove in two runs Monday as Wyoming East an 8-2 home win over Mingo Central.
Zach Hunt notched a pair of hits for the Warriors as well, striking out seven in three innings of work.
Owen Biggs and Miken Smyth added an RBI each.
Greenbrier East 11, Nicholas County 1
Fairlea – Greenbrier East erupted for 14 hits Monday, earning an 11-1 win over Nicholas County in Fairlea.
Four different Spartans collected two hits each with Joe Baker blasting a home run. Layne Lambert, who picked up the win by striking out 12 batters, also drove in two runs in the win.
Cooper Lanham drove in Nicholas County’s lone run of the night.
Shady Spring 5, Liberty 2
Shady Spring – Shady Spring came to life late, scoring three runs in the sixth inning to grind out a 5-2 win over county rival Liberty Monday in Shady.
Cutter Boggs and Jacob Claypool led the Tigers with two hits each while Aiden Calvert and Aiden Brown drove in a run each.
Colyn Smith picked up the win on the mound for the Tigers.
Parker Hodges and Brayden Keith drove in a run each for Liberty.
