Prep Baseball Roundup: Westside wins; Greater Beckley falls

Westside 15, Bluefield 1

Clear Fork – Westside’s bats popped from the jump as the Renegades exploded on Bluefield 15-1 Tuesday in Clear Fork.

Braxton Waldron led the Renegades with three hits and RBI while Hayden Miller matched him with three hits of his own.

Kadien Vance secured the win and was part of a combined no-hitter alongside Noah Akers where the duo combined the strike out seven and three batters, respectively.

Sherman 6, Greater Beckley 5

Seth – Greater Beckley’s rally attempt came up short Tuesday as the Crusaders fell 6-5 at Sherman.

Paul Fox led the Crusaders with a home run, collecting two hits in the loss. 

Eli Gunter drove in a trio of runs in the loss.
