Lindside – James Monroe all-stater Kadyn Hines will make a dream come true in two years.
Following a strong showing at the I-95 Metro Prospect Camp in New Jersey where his fastball hit 93 MPH, Hines picked up an offer from West Virginia head Steve Sabins and took to social media Monday night to announce his commitment to play college baseball at West Virginia University.
Hines, a junior this coming year, made the announcement via his Instagram and Facebook pages, writing:
“After a great talk with with Coach Sabins and Coach Garcia. I would like to announce my commitment to WVU for my athletic and academic career. I want to thank god, my family and everyone that has helped me
GO MOUNTAINEERS🏔️🏔️”
Hines, who pitched and played shortstop for the Mavericks this past season, earned first team all-state honors in June posting a 5-2 record while striking out 115 batters in 51.1 innings as a sophomore.
