
Charleston – Gilmer County suffocated Notre Dame’s offense Thursday evening, turning the Irish over 20 times and limiting them to just there made field goals in a 67-26 rout in a Class A quarterfinal in the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
The win sends Gilmer County, the No. 1 seed, to the Class A semis where it will face the winner of Cameron-Pendleton County on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
The Titans placed four in double figures led by Lena Frymier who netted 17. Allie Ellyson added 15 to go along with eight steals.
Selena Wilson led Notre Dame with 13 points in the loss.
