South Charleston – Wyoming East graduate Cadee Blackburn capped her high school career by scoring 21 points to secure MVP honors for the South Cardinals in an 80-76 victory over the North Bears in the annual North-South All-Star Game Friday night at the South Charleston Community Center.
Blackburn started hot, helping the South to an 11-0 lead. The North tied the game and eventually took the lead in the second half but in the finals minutes Blackburn untied the game for good with a pair of free throws.
Gilmer County’s Allie Ellyson earned MVP honors for the North.
