Charleston – Trevan Bonner’s steal and layup with 51 seconds left broke a 36-36 tie, helping propel Tucker County to its third consecutive Class A title appearance with a 42-36 win over East Hardy Friday night in the Class A semis at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
Ahead of the Mountain Lions lies a Tug Valley team they split with in the regular season and lost to in last year’s Class A title game.
Bonner led Tucker with 16 points and three steals while Ethan Cummings netted 14 off the bench.
Evan Hamilton and Jordan Teets led East Hardy with 12 points each in the loss.
