
Charleston – Morgantown broke a late tie with Parkersburg South, outscoring the Patriots 11-2 in the final three minutes for a 59-50 victory Wednesday afternoon in the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
The win send the three-time defending champion Mohiagns to the Class AAAA semis where they’ll face No.3 George Washington on Friday at 7:15.
Morgantown received contributions from all over with four different starters scoring in double figures, led by Waylon Colistra who netted 16 points. Morgantown’s fifth starter, Brady Savage, finished with nine points and 14 rebounds.
South was led by Navi Hewitt who scored 19 points but just two in the second half.
