Buckhannon – The Beckley Bash Post 32 squad opened its season with a sweep of Post 7, securing victories of 16-1 and 20-6 Tuesday at West Virginia Wesleyan in an American Legion Baseball matchup.
Shady Spring graduate and current Glenville State outfielder Jacob Meadows was scorching at the plate in both games, driving in three runs in the opener and finishing with three hits and two RBI in the second game of the doubleheader.
Independence graduate and WVU Tech player Brayden Kiblinger added five RBI across both contests while another Indy grad in Cole Cunningham provided four RBI on the night.
Nicholas County graduate and fellow WVU Tech player Cole Brown picked up the win in the 16-1 opener, scattering three hits in five innings.
Sophomores Kadyn Hines (James Monroe) and Degan Williams (Independence) added three hits each on the evening as well.
