Clarksburg 5, Beckley Bash 4
Bridgeport – The Beckley Bash split in the Timbuck Shields Tournament Saturday in Bridgeport, beating the Post 515 Latrobe Jethawks 10-0 before falling 5-4 to the Post 13 team out of Clarksburg.
Against Latrobe Cole Brown led the way with three hits and four RBI while Zion Detko added a trio of hits.
Sam Barnett went the distance on the mound, scattering five hits.
In the second game the Bash fell despite out-hitting Clarksburg 11-4.
Jacob Meadows, Ashton Cochran and Eli Green all collected two hits each in the loss. Jaeden Lester surrendered all five runs allowed, none of which were earned.
