Trailing 5-4 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Bradbury blasted a two-run home run to give Independence a 6-5 victory over Herbert Hoover in the Class AAA Region 3 championship series.
The win forces a decisive game three on Thursday back in Elkview.
Independence took a 3-0 lead after an inning before Hoover’s bats got loose in the fourth. Jaylee Carper and Kyleigh Elmore blasted home runs in that frame to tie the game with Elmore going yard again int he following frame.
Independence chipped back with a run in the sixth before Bradbury saved the season.
The senior finished 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBI while Emma Simpson, Paytin Brehm and Emma Lilly added an RBI each.
Ayva Veltri, Sadi Wehrle and Elmore finished with two hits each for Hoover.
