New Richmond – Jaeden Lester was masterful on the bump Thursday, tossing a complete game shutout in a 6-0 win over Liberty in Glen Daniel.
Lester yielded just two hits and fanned 14 in the win. Braxton Morgan backed his effort with a trio of hits while Jarred Phillips homered and drove in two runs. Miken Smyth added a pair of hits as well.
Brayden Keith and Issac Davis led Liberty with a hit each.
Nicholas County 3, Beckley 1
Summersville – Ira Mylott tossed a gem Thursday, limiting Beckley to two hit as Nicholas County secured a 3-1 win over the Flying Eagles in Summersville.
Mylott fanned nine in 6.2 innings of work, backing his own cause with a pair of hits at the plate. Colton Burkhammer and Braden Brown picked up an RBI each in the win.
Drew Gallaher and Parker Williams had a hit each for Beckley with Williams driving in a run.
James Monroe 16, Midland Trail 0
Lindside – Kadyn Hines was the star of the show Thursday, fanning 13 in a five-inning no-hit effort that powered a 16-0 win over Midland Trail in Lindside.
Hines excelled at the plate as well, going 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.
Brycen Parker added a trio of hits as well while Peyton Gardinier notched two.
