Coal City – Independence made the most of 12 free passes Friday, securing a 20-0 win over Midland Trail in Coal City.
ReidWarden led the charge with three hits and four RBI, mashing a home run. Levi Barnett homered as well, driving in four runs on two hits while Andrew Coalson drove in five runs.
Degan Williams rounded out the big hitters with three RBI.
Barnett earned the win while Andrew Coalson pitched four innings, helping to hold Trail to just four hits.
PikeView 15, Summers County 3
Gardner – PikeView celebrated senior night with 15 hits, taking a 15-3 win against Summers County in Gardner Friday.
Five different Panthers had multiple hits led by Eli Hilling who notched three. Eli Naylor led the hosts with four RBI while Trenton Tolliver, Austin Bennett and Landon Wyatt notched two hits each.
Drew Damewood added a pair of RBI.
Wyatt picked up the win with seven strikeouts in four innings of work.
Braiden Cozort and Jake Boone led Summers with a hit and RBI each.
Nicholas County 15, Princeton 5
Summersville – Nicholas County spotted Princeton the first four runs yet it proved moot as the Grizzlies roared back for a 15-5 five-inning victory Friday in Summersville.
Caleb Burns led the charge at the plate with three RBI, homering in the victory. Caleb Jarvis drove in a pair of runs as did Cain Ferrell.
Landon Crane again led Princeton with two hits while Evan Wright drove in three runs.
Van 4, Liberty 3
Liberty – Van earned a walk-off win against Liberty Thursday, toppling Liberty 4-3 in Boone County.
Jayden Acord led the Raiders with a pair of hits, adding a pair of walks to reach base four times.
Parker Hodges took the loss for the Raiders despite striking out 10 and allowing just one earned run.
