Montcalm – PikeView scalded the ball Wednesday, notching 11 hits in a 12-2 win at Montcalm.
Abby Hedrick led the Panthers with three hits while Emma Compton drove in two runs.
Compton earned the win in the circle with 10 strikeouts.
Nicholas County 17, Beckley 0
Beckley – Nicholas County unloaded Tuesday, pounding 16 hits in a 17-0 win over Beckley in Beckley.
Aubrey Clark led the assault with three hits and five RBI while Kylee Amick went 4-for-4 with three RBI. Abby Hilleary earned the win, allowing just three hits in five innings.
Hadley Reott led Beckley with two hits in the loss.
Shady Spring 2, Westside 1
Shady Spring – Shady Spring survived a pitcher’s duel Wednesday night, securing a 2-1 win over Westside in Shady Spring.
Raegan Lane led Shady with 11 strikeouts in a complete game effort, yielding just two hits and nothing her 100th strikeout. Brinlee Cales backed her effort with a home run while Alexa Quesenberry notched a pair of hits.
Paisley Shannon led Westside with a hit, allowing just six hits in the circle.
Liberty 10, Oak Hill 6
Glen Daniel – Liberty started fast, putting up six runs in the first inning of a 10-6 win over Oak Hill in Glen Daniel Wednesday.
Allie Bowles led the charge with a trio of hits, driving in two runs while Alyssa Scarbro and Kanyon Green notched a pair of hits each. Maddie Cox earned the win, striking out her 300th career batter.
K.K. Smith drove in a pair of runs for Oak Hill in the loss.
James Monroe 12, Greenbrier East 9
Fairlea – James Monroe took advantage of six Greenbrier East errors Wednesday to secure a 12-9 win over the Spartans in Fairlea.
Arianna South led the Mavericks with three hits and four RBI while Evey Canterbury and Chloe Bert notched a pair of hits each.
Reagan Cline had an outstanding day for East despite the loss, homering, collecting four hits and driving in seven of East’s nine runs.
Independence 10, Sissonville 3
Coal City – Independence scored five runs in the fourth inning, riding that wave to a 10-3 win over Sissonville in Coal City Wednesday.
Kassidy Bradbury led the charge with a pair of hits and four RBI, blasting a home run. Emma Lilly launched a home run as well, driving in a pair of runs.
Paytin Brehm earned the win with 13 strikeouts in a complete-game effort.
Sherman 14, Greenbrier West 9
Crawley – Sherman erupted late, scoring nine runs across the final three innings to steal a 14-9 win against Greenbrier West in Crawley Wednesday.
Brilee Redden led West at the plate in the loss, going 3-for-3 with a home run and an RBI while Brooklyn Adkins finished 2-for-3 with two BI.
Maddie Fields added two hits was well for West in the loss.
