Gardner – PikeView’s late rally charge came up short Monday as Independence rolled into Gardner and picked up an 11-9 win over the Panthers.
Degan Williams, Cole Cunningham, Hunter Milam and Andrew Coalson all drove in two runs each with Coalson and Williams notching a pair of hits each.
Landon Bolen led PikeView with three hits and 4 RBI, homering in the loss. Eli Naylor and Landon Wyatt added a pair of hits each as well for the Panthers.
Wyoming East 16, Bluefield 4
Bluefield – Wyoming East jumped out to a 13-0 lead in a 16-4 rout of Bluefield Monday night at Bowen Field in Bluefield.
Nineteen different players got to bat for the Warriors with Owen Biggs, Jarred Phillips and Braxton Morgan collecting two hits each to lead the way.
Nate Redmond led Bluefield with two hits in the loss.
James Monroe 6, Westside 5
Clear Fork – James Monroe outlasted Westside Monday, scoring a run in the top of the ninth inning to secure a 6-5 victory over the Renegades on Clear Fork.
Brycen Parker and Levi Taylor led the Mavs with a hit and RBI each while Kadyn Hines picked up the win with three strikeout sin an inning.
Hayden Miller and Charlie Hawks led the Renegades with two hits each in the loss
Beckley 10, Oak Hill 5
Beckley – Beckley roared out to another hot start, scoring eight runs in the opening frame of a 10-5 win over Oak Hill on Beckley Monday.
Tyler Wilhite led the Flying Eagles with three hits, adding a pair of RBI while Brady Williams drove in four runs to lead all players. Maddex Sims joined the duo with multiple hits, notching two.
J.D. Mauritz led Oak Hill with two hits and an RBI in the loss.
Greenbrier East 14, Nicholas County 2
Summersville – Greenbrier East got off to a quick start Monday, scoring five runs in the opening frame of a 14-2 win over Nicholas County in Summersville.
Nicholas secured just one hit, a single off the bat of Braden Brown.
Zion Detko highlighted East’s win with a home run while Ashton Cochran led the way with a pair of hits and four RBI.
Eli Green went the distance on the mound for East, striking out six in the win.
Shady Spring 12, Princeton 2
Shady Spring – Shady Spring’s bats were at it again Monday as the Tigers secured a season sweep of Princeton with a 12-2 win in Shady.
Aiden Calvert, Noah Fox, Aiden Brown and Jacob Claypool all secured two hits each for Shady while Calvert drove in a pair of runs.
Landon Crane led Princeton with two hits in the loss.
