Delbarton – Miken Smyth tossed a no-hitter Saturday as Wyoming East defeated Mingo Central 14-0 at Mingo.
Smyth pitched all six innings in the win, fanning nine batters without issuing a walk. An error and three hit batsmen prevented the perfect game.
He backed his effort at the plate with two hits and was joined by Owen Biggs and Gaige Cooper with two hits each.
Cooper, Braxton Knuckles and Braxton Morgan drove in two runs each.
Westside 16, Greater Beckley 9
Cameron 9, Westside 0
Beckley – Westside split a doubleheader Saturday, falling 9-0 against Cameron but securing a 16-9 win over Greater Beckley in Beckley.
Zach Short, Kadien Vance and Hayden Miller led the charge in the win over Greater Beckley with three hits each. Short finished the game with four RBI, as did Sawyer Kenney.
Isaiah Lewis and Eli Gunter collected two hits and drove in two runs each for Greater Beckley in the loss.
Against Cameron the Renegades struggled with only Vance and Kenney notching hits.
