Nicholas County 8, Beckley 3
Beckley – Nicholas County exploded for five runs in the fourth inning to secure an 8-3 win at Beckley Thursday night.
Coleton Hellems led the Grizzlies with four RBI while Ira Mylott was perfect with a 4-for-4 showing. Caleb Burns added three hits including a triple.
Brady Williams took the loss for the Flying Eagles but was hot at the plate, going 3-for-4 with an RBI.
Tyler Wilhite went 2-for-3 to complement his effort.
Liberty 10, River View 2
Glen Daniel – Liberty capitalized on six River View errors, jumping out to a 7-0 lead and cruising to a 10-2 win over the Raiders Thursday in Glen Daniel.
Jayden Acord and Chase Shea led the Raiders with a pair of hits and RBI each while Isaac Williams drove in a trio of runs, blasting a homer.
Acord went the distance on the mound as well, striking out 10 to secure the win.
Wyoming East 10, Princeton 0
New Richmond – Wyoming East took advantage of 11 free passes Thursday, securing a 10-0 win over Princeton in six innings in New Richmond.
The Warriors and Tigers combined for just five hits but between the walks and errors, East was able to scratch across more than enough runs for the win. Jaeden Lester led Wyoming East with a pair of RBI while Owen Biggs drew three walks.
Zach Hunt notched his 100th career hit, becoming the 12th player in program history to hit that milestone. Jarred Phillips picked up the win, striking out three in a complete-game effort while not issuing a single walk.
Deegan Walters and Braydon Dalton secured Princeton’s only hits.
Shady Spring 19, Westside 4
Clear Fork – Shady Spring’s offense hummed Thursday, picking up 16 hits in a 19-4 in over Westside in Clear Fork.
Brody Seabolt and Jalon Bailey were the hit leaders for Shady with three each and a pair of RBI to go with them.
Aiden Calvert, Cutter Boggs, Sam Barnett and Kayden Quesenberry finished with two hits each to add to the barrage.
Kadien Vance led Westside in the loss with a pair of hits including a home run, and four RBI.
Trinity 7, Greenbrier West 6
Morgantown – Greenbrier West fell Thursday, dropping a 7-6 decision at Trinity.
Eight walks ultimately hurt the Cavaliers in the loss.
Landen Doss led the Cavs with a pair of RBI while Aaron Rodes notched two hits.
