Beckley – James Monroe’s bats roared Thursday as the Mavericks pounded out 11 hits in a 10-1 win over Beckley in Beckley.
Peighton Griffith led the Mavericks with four hits and four RBI, notching three doubles. Chloe Bert and Peyton Street collected three hits each as well with Bryleigh Thomas earning the win in the circle.
Aubrey Smallwood drove in Beckley’s only run of the game .
Nitro 12, Oak Hill 10
Nitro – Oak Hill’s near rally came up short Thursday as the Red Devils fell 12-10 at Nitro.
Oak Hill led 3-1 after an inning but yielded five runs each in the third and fourth innings. The Red Devils pushed across five in the top of the sixth, falling short of the comeback.
Meeka Miller led Oak Hill with a pair of hits and five RBI while Kennedy King, Peyten Ferrell and Sadie Branch notched two hits each as well.
Midland Trail 21, Richwood 0
Ansted – Midland Trail’s offense exploded in the second inning, scoring 17 runs in a 21-0 victory over Richwood Thursday in Ansted.
Abby Parcell notched three hits to pace the Patriots while Stephanie Harrell hit her first career home run and drove in four runs.
Maddie Rader, Nevaeh Hall and Mary McGraw finished with two hits each
Wyoming East 8, Westside 5
Clear Fork – Wyoming East’s bats stayed hot Thursday as the Lady Warriors notched an 8-5 win over regional and county rival Westside in Clear Fork.
Carli Raye collected three hits and drove in five runs to pace East while Mak Hatfield and Olivia Vint added a pair of hits. Raye also picked up the win in the circle, fanning seven without yielding a single earned run.
Myles Meadows and Brie Walls led Westide with two hits each with Walls driving in a pair of runs.
Liberty 7, Sherman 0
Glen Daniel – Liberty roared out of the game, scoring five runs in the first two innings en route to a 7-0 win over Sherman Thursday in Glen Daniel.
Katie Mullens led the charge at the plate for Liberty with a pair of hits and two RBI while Allie Bowles and Alyssa Scarbro added two hits each.
Maddie Cox earned the win in the circle, fanning nine in the shutout.
Independence 15, Princeton 0
Princeton – Independence’s offense never let off the gas Thursday, securing a 15-0 win over Princeton in three innings at Princeton.
Paytin Brehm earned the win, holding the Tigers hitless over three innings.
Savannah Stanley led the charge at the plate with a home run and five RBI. Emma Lilly finished 3-for-3 with a pair of RBI while Kassidy Bradbury drove in a pair as well.
Nicholas County 4, Ripley 0; Ripley 10, Nicholas County 2
Summersville – Nicholas County earned a split with regional foe Ripley Thursday, beating he Vikings 4-0 and facing 10-2
In the 4-0 win Abby Hilleary earned the win, tossing a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts. She was backed by Makenzie Hanshaw and Aleigha Stephenson who collected two hits and an RBI each. Hanshaw homered in the win
In the 10-2 loss Hilleary pitched again and yielded six runs but nine were earned in a game the Grizzlies committed seven errors in.
Hanshaw led the way with three hits, including a pair of doubles, in the loss.
