Glen Daniel – Liberty stifled Westside’s lineup Wednesday, securing a 4-1 win over the Renegades in Glen Daniel.
Parker Hodges was stellar on the mound, scattering three hits across seven innings and fanning five. Brayden Keith back this effort with two hits while Isaac Davis drove in a pair of runs.
Sawyer Kenney drove in Westside’s only run while Noah Akers led the way with two hits.
Beckley 3, Margaretta, Oh. 2
Beckley – Drew Gallaher’s walk-off single scored Maddex Sims to deliver Beckley a 3-2 win over Margaretta, Oh. Wednesday in Beckley.
Tyler Wilhite went the distance for the Flying Eagles, fanning 12 and surrendering four hits.
Gallaher had two of Beckley’s three hits, including the winner, while Brady Williams notched a double.
Logan 10, Wyoming East 2
Logan – Walks doomed Wyoming East Wednesday as the Warriors issued nine free passes and hit two more batters in a 10-2 loss to the Wildcats in Logan.
Miken Smyth led East at the plate with two hits while Jaeden Lester and Gaige Cooper drove in a run each.
Ivan Miller led Logan with two hist and three RBI.
Greenbrier East 5, PikeView 3
Gardner – Greenbrier East’s three runs in the first proved to be the difference as the Spartans upended No. 1 PikeView 5-3 in Gardner Wednesday.
PikeView answered with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first and tied the game in the sixth but East scored a run each int he sixth and seventh innings.
Eli Green led East with three RBI while Zion Detko secured two hits including a home run.
Eli Naylor and Christian Walters led PikeView with two hits each while Trenton Tolliver, Braden Huggins and Landon Bolen drove in a run each.
James Monroe 7, Princeton 4
Lindside – James Monroe broke a 4-4 tie in the late innings to secure a 7-4 win over Princeton in Lindside Wednesday.
Carson Koen led the way on the mound for James, scattering six hits across six innings and allowing just two earned runs in front of a defense that committed seven errors.
Peyton Gardinier drove in two runs to pace the Mavs at the plate.
Deegan Walters led Princeton with two hits and struck out 11 on the mound in the loss.
Nicholas County 15, Oak Hill 2
Oak Hill – Nicholas County jumped on Oak Hill, scoring five runs in the first inning of a 15-2 win over the Red Devils in Oak Hill.
The Grizzlies notched 14 hits in the win led by Colton Burkhammer and Coleton Hellems who crushed three each.
Hellems and Burkhammer were joined by Ira Mylott with two RBI each.
Owen Grose led Oak Hill with two hits.
Gilmer County 13, Greenbrier West 3
Greenbrier West couldn’t maintain its hot start, falling 13-3 at Gilmer County Wednesday.
The Cavs notched only one hit n the five-inning loss and yielded 13.
