Bluefield – Maddex Sims stifled Tazewell, Va. Thursday night, striking out eight in a five-inning no-hit effort for Beckley which bounced the Bulldogs 18-0 at Bowen Field in Bluefield.
The Flying Eagles were just as good on offense where they pounded out 17 hits, with Sims leading the charge with three on that front as well.
Will Farrish added three hits as well while Parker Williams drove in four runs.
Wyoming East 7, Liberty 4
Glen Daniel – Wyoming East took a 6-0 lead into the bottom of the third inning and never let it slip in a 7-4 victory at Liberty Thursday night.
Jarred Phillips led the charge at the plate with three RBI while Gaige Cooper drove in two. Miken Smyth earned the win, striking out four in 4.1 innings of work.
Chase Shea led Liberty with two RBI in the loss.
Man 8, Westside 0
Man – Man exploded for six run in the fourth inning, securing an 8-0 win over Westside Thursday night in Man.
The Renegades received hits from three different players.
Ethan Bledsoe led the way, reaching base with a hit and a walk while Alex Brunty and Kadien Vance collected the other two hits for Westside.
Christiansburg, Va. 3, PikeView 2
Bluefield – PikeView fell into a 3-0 hole and could never climb out of it in a 3-2 loss to Christiansburg, Va. Thursday night at Owen Field in Bluefield.
Trenton Tolliver and Eli Hilling drove in the only runs of the night for the Panthers while Austin Bennett notched a double.
Hilling took the loss, striking out 12 across 5.2 innings of work
Greater Beckley 16, Mount View 9
Beckley – Greater Bekcley used a pair of big innings to blast past Mount View 16-9 in Beckley Thursday night.
Isaiah Lewis led the charge for the Crusaders, smashing a grand slam in a five-run sixth inning.
Kellan Heffernan added a trio of RBI in the win while Jayden Nguyen finished with three hits.
