Elkview – Herbert Hoover blew its regional matchup with Nicholas County open late, securing a 10-1 win over the Grizzlies in Elkview.
Walks doomed the Grizzlies as they issued 12 to the Huskies in the loss.
Peyton Grigsby led the Huskies with two hits while Sam Salyers drove in a trio of runs.
Coleton Hellems drove in a run to lead the Grizzlies with Caleb Burns notched a triple.
Greenbrier West 6, Pocahontas County 3
Charmco – Greenbrier West weathered an early storm to secure a 6-3 win over Pocahontas County Monday in Charmco.
Landon McClung and Scott McClung led the charge for West with two hits each in the win. Landon drove in a pair of runs, while Scott collected a pair of doubles.
The duo also led the way on the mound with Landon securing the win.
