Beckley 12, Bluefield 0
Beckley – Tyler Wilhite and Parker Williams combined to hold Bluefield hitless over five innings in a 12-0 win over the Beavers Thursday in Beckley.
Wilhite and Williams were hot at the plate too, with the former collecting three hits and driving in a pair of runs and the latter collecting three hits and driving in five runs.
The duo combined to strikeout 10 Beavers in the win.
PikeView 10, Nicholas County 4
Gardner – Eli Hilling fanned 11 in 5.2 innings of work as PikeView collected a key 10-4 regional win over Nicholas County Thursday in Gardner.
The game featured 15 total errors with Nicholas booting the ball nine times in the loss.
Christian Walters drove in a pair of runs for the Panthers in the win while Landon Wyatt collected a pair of hits.
Lucas Milam led Nicholas County with two hits while Coleton Hellems drove in a pair of runs.
James Monroe 13, Princeton 12
Princeton – Down to its last out, James Monroe scored eight runs, putting 10 straight batters on base in a 13-12 comeback win at Princeton Thursday night.
Kadyn Hines and Peyton Gardinier led the charge in the box with Gardinier driving in four runs and Hines notching three hits, including a triple to go with three RBI.
Lane Taylor added two RBI in the win as well.
Princeton, which scored a run in the bottom of the seventh, stranded the tying run on third.
Evan Wright drove in a pair of runs for the Tigers.
Scott 14, Independence 4
Beckley – Independence struggled to keep Scott off the base paths Thursday night at Epling Stadium, falling 14-4 to the Skyhawks.
Indy issued seven walks and committed three errors in the loss, yielding nine hits.
Degan Williams led Indy with three hits including a triple.
Scott 9, Wyoming East 6
Beckley – Wyoming East saw Scott storm back from a 5-0 deficit to secure a 9-6 win over the Warriors Thursday.
Jaeden Lester and Jarred Phillips each led the Warriors with two hist apiece with Phillips driving in a pair of runs.
Owen Biggs, Miken Smyth and Gaige Cooper each added an RBI in the loss for the Warriors.
Greenbrier West 3, Liberty 2
Glen Daniel – Greenbrier West scored the first three runs of the game and held on, toppling Liberty 3-2 in Glen Daniel Thursday evening.
Landen Doss led the Cavs with two hits, driving in three runs in the win while also picking up the win on the mound.
Jadon Accord led Liberty with two hits and an RBI in the loss. Brayden Keith struck out 16, allowing just one earned run.
Greenbrier East 14, Shady Spring 11
Shady Spring – Greenbrier East won a slugfest Thursday, collecting 18 hits to topple Shady Spring 14-11 at Shady.
Zion Detko led the Spartans with four hits and two RBI while Brady May and Eli Green drove in three runs each. Green homered in the win.
Aiden Calvert led Shady with three hits while Kayden Quesenberry and Sam Barnett homered in the loss.
