Greenbrier West 3, PikeView 1
Crawley – Base hits by Maddie Fields and Brilee Redden made the difference Thursday night as Greenbrier West secured a 3-1 win over PikeView in Crawley.
Diana Porter added a pair of hits, including a solo jack in the sixth for the Cavaliers in the win.
Redden was excellent in the circle, allowing one unearned run and striking out 13 in a complete-game victory.
Emma Compton and Bella Delida notched two hits each for PikeView in the loss.
Scott 14, Beckley 0
Beckley – The Flying Eagles were no-hit Thursday, suffering a 14-0 loss to Scott in Beckley.
Scott did its damage with just five hits but capitalized on seven Beckley errors and nine walks.
Hannah Tomblin led Scott with three hits and RBI in the win.
Mount View 7, Van 5
Van – Mount View rallied in the sixth and seventh innings, scoring four runs in those frames to secure a 7-5 win at Van.
Phoebe Dudgeon had another excellent showing in the circle, fanning 17 and allowing just two earned runs for Mount View.
Led by Ry’Anna Hood, Kaylee Cook and Shianne Belcher, the bottom of the Golden Knight lineup excelled, collecting three hits and driving in two runs.
Midland Trail 11, Wyoming East 2
Ansted – Midland Trail’s bats wasted no time getting to work, tagging Wyoming East for nine runs in the first inning of an 11-2 victory over the Warriors Thursday in Ansted.
Jessi Mooney led the charge at the plate with two hist that drove in three runs including a triple.
Madison Rader excelled in both the circle and box, allowing just one earned run in five innings and collecting two hits and RBI in the box.
