Clear Fork – Westside held off a Mingo Central rally, toppling the Miners 6-5 Tuesday in Clear Fork.
The Renegades built a cushion with a fourth-inning eruption scoring four runs in the frame.
Hayden Miller led the Renegades with a pair of hits and RBIs in the win.
Isaiah Clay and James Paynter added an RBI each.
Nicholas County 19, Braxton County 1
Summersville – Nicholas County’s bats caught fire a night after being silenced as the Grizzlies pounded out 13 hits, scoring 11 runs in the opening frame en route to a 19-1 win over Braxton County Tuesday in Summersville.
Lucas Milam, Braden Brown and Coleton Hellems led the charge with four RBIs each for Nicholas.
Cooper Lanham picked up the win with five innings of one-run ball, yielding just three hits.
