
Charleston – No. 1 Williamstown dominated through the first half, safely putting its Class AA quarterfinal matchup with No. 8 Buffalo away in the first half of a 74-39 toppling of the Bison Tuesday evening in the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
The win sends the Yellowjackets to the semifinals where they’ll face the winner of Wyoming East-Logan on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
Williamstown shot the lights out in the first half, hitting on 20 of its 37 shots.
Leading the charge for the Yellowjackets was Jayden Bryant who scored 27 points on 10-of-17 shooting. Joining him in double figured were Parker Schramm (10), Cruz Islay (14) and Tyler Keiser (11).
Buffalo, which shot just 25 percent (17-of-67) from the field, was led by Asher Flanery who netted 18 points.
