Shady Spring – The reigning Class AAA state champions are heading back to Charleston.
Shady Spring dominated the second half, outscoring Herbert Hoover 37-24 en route to a 66-46 win over Herbert Hoover in the Class AAA Region 3 co-final.
Shady earned the No. 2 seed in the state tournament and will face No. 7 Robert C. Byrd on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m.
Jack Williams and Jalon Bailey led the charge in their final home game, scoring 23 points each in the victory.
Dane Hatfield led Hoover with 17 points in the loss.
