Beckley – Absent star guard Zyon Hawthorne, Beckley had more than enough gas in the tank to pull away from Bluefield for an 83-53 victory over the Beavers Tuesday in the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.
Jalyon Walton led the assault for Beckley with 24 points while Coby Dillon netted 17. Preston Clary added 13 points.
Jase Smith led Bluefield and all scorers with 31 points in the loss.
